Introduction
Color Cape ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Camera Access
We request access to your device's camera solely to provide the color caping feature. Camera images are processed in real-time on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
Photos You Save
When you choose to save a photo with a color overlay, it is saved directly to your device's photo library. We do not have access to these photos.
Local Storage
We store your app preferences locally on your device, including:
- Palette preferences (enabled/disabled, order)
- Custom cape configurations
- Camera settings (default camera, mirror mode, opacity)
This data never leaves your device.
Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your payment details.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect device identifiers for tracking
- We do not upload your photos or camera feed
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
Face Data
Color Cape allows you to take photos of yourself to see how different colors look against your complexion. We want to be completely transparent about how we handle any images containing your face:
Collection
We do not collect face data. The app uses your device's camera to display a live preview with color overlays, but this data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or collected by us.
Use
We do not use face data for any purpose. The app does not perform facial recognition, facial analysis, or any biometric processing. Color overlays are applied to the entire camera view, not based on facial detection.
Sharing
We do not share face data with any third parties. Since we do not collect or have access to your photos or camera feed, there is no face data to share.
Storage
We do not store face data. If you choose to save a photo by tapping the save button, that photo is stored only in your device's local photo library, under your control. We have no access to these saved photos.
Retention
We do not retain face data. Since no face data is ever collected or transmitted to us, there is nothing to retain. Photos saved to your device remain there until you choose to delete them.
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data.
Third-Party Services
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous data related to your subscription status. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Color Cape does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Our app does not require any personal information to function.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all app data at any time by:
- Using the "Reset Settings" option in the app
- Using the "Log Out" option to clear all data
- Uninstalling the app
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: All your data is stored on your device and accessible to you
- Deletion: Delete your data anytime through the app settings or by uninstalling
- Portability: Your saved photos are in your device's photo library
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
